This 75 minute musical is about acceptance and openess. Children from two families want to grow their friendships and visit each other outside of school. The parents reject this idea. The children respond, with help from classmates and school staff.  They arrange a school-wide event (a dance party) as a way to bring all parties together. They introduce and perform a series of songs that articulate their values and beliefs about friendships and how people should treat each other. While the children initially hoped to convince their parents to change their minds, they are happy with an outcome that creates some common ground and recognizes common values.
