Production Details:
The song is set in the school office. The two teachers and the principal first, then the four leads enter and the song begins. The song demonstrates convictions and commitment. The principal has a singing line as the chorus section begins. Verse 3 is sung by Allison and Anita, who interrupt the song after the 2nd chorus.
There is a special singing assignment for the “No, no, no” part.
Staging:
This could be off-stage if space is available. Or, it’ll require a very significant stage change from the previous classroom scene. There will be 3 adults and 6 singers as the song concludes.
Musically: Key of A
Verses are solos sung by each of the 6 lead students, so the band will play softly. The chorus section is spirited and dramatic, and musically should be colorful and strong.
